2013 Garden Updates posted as received!

If you haven't visited Every Bear's garden recently, please check it out!!!  Students, volunteers and our Common Threads Farm new garden educator, Molly Benjamin (bio- http://commonthreadsfarm.org/staff), are soon to be busy.   Planting beds have been made and are continuing to evolve.  Classes have been coming out with Linda and have been planting with the help of volunteers.  What will be planted?  Early, cooler season vegetables such as: spinach (which is the May Harvest of the Month!), snap peas, snow peas, salad mix, arugula, radishes, asian greens, beets, carrots, lettuce, kale, broccoli, brussels sprouts, onions and potatoes.

We are saving space out there for vegies that need warmer weather to plant such as pumpkins, winter and summer squash, cukes, beans, tomatoes and more.  Over the coming weeks we will be planting these.

If you are a parent interested in volunteering to help maintain the garden, please contact parent Kate Walker @  k8walker@live.com

Come on out to the garden and see what's growing!
