Hello Fifth Grade Parents!
The Fifth Grade Celebration will be Tuesday, June 12 from 6:30-7:30 pm! This will be a time for students to sign the yearbooks they will get that evening, hear from a couple high schoolers who are Roosevelt Alumni with an encouraging message about middle school, see a fun slide show, and have some refreshments.
Here are some ways you can help:
  • We need photos of the students as soon as possible! We are especially hoping for EVENTS you may have documented, like field trips, class parties, etc. If you have photos that fit this description, please email Sarah Murphy-Kangas: or call 206-788-7568. She will send you a link to a Dropbox file. If it’s a just a couple photos you have, you can email them as files. OR you can put your photos on a thumb drive and leave them in the PTA office in a clearly marked envelope.
  • Bring something to contribute to snacks! We are looking for cans of unsweetened sparking/seltzer water that we will put on ice, fruit, cheese and crackers, and a smaller amount of sweets 🙂 Homemade is okay (and wonderful!) since this is an after-hours event. For questions about food, contact Tracy Imbach: or 360-927-0640.
  • Please have your child bring to school a baby photo of themselves by Friday, June 1. Put it in a clearly marked envelope in their chat folder. Envelope should say, “Baby photo for [first and last name]” These will be returned to you the night of graduation after everyone has seen the “Who’s Who?” display. If you have questions about this, contact Shari Miller at or 360-319-1592.
  • We are asking each family for a contribution of $10 to help offset the cost of yearbooks. Please send this (cash or check made out to Roosevelt PTA) to school with your student by June 1 if you’re able to contribute. Thank you
